Honestly, any format is fine. Do you mean .vtk or .vtu? (as in legacy or
XML?) That said, I wouldn't like legacy so much as that is fairly slow
to write and results in big on-disk files.

with any other t than null, I receive the error message that
anysolution.vtu already exists.
