I want to bring the PyOpenCL goodness to another programming
(R). If I understand it correctly PyOpenCL use a small C++ layer
before communicating with OpenCL. What I would like to do, is change
the Python wrapping around this C++ layer into an R wrapping. Do you
have any pointers on how best to proceed?
That very much depends on what type of wrapper generator you have
available to you on the R side, so I think there's little I can say
other than to just give it a shot. Also note the PyOpenCL code base is
about 40% C++ and 60% Python--where a fair chunk of the functionality is
provided by the Python side.
In any case, good luck--and feel free to steal what's useful to you. (as
the license allows)
