It now returns new error message:
"ssh: Could not resolve hostname stout: Name or service not known",
although I enable agent forwarding and can connect from porter to
stout by using "ssh stout.cs.illinois.edu".

I received following error when running even a
trivial MPI program
across porter and stout:
[porter:12447] [[5334,0],0] tcp_peer_recv_connect_ack: received
different version from [[5334,0],2]: Pۮ instead
The nonsense character in the above error message suggests to me that
mpirun is reading a wrong memory address.
I used "mpicc test.c -o test" to compile and "mpirun -np 2 --map-by
node:PE=8 --hostfile hosts ./test" for running. The trivial program is
located at "/home/haogao2/shared/sketch/test.c".
Do you have an idea why this happens?
I've tweaked the MPI configuration. Try again now, what I did fixed the
issue for me.
